Do you agree that you can sum up all the hurt pain etc. in one word, expectation

One of my friends told me that you can sum up all the hurt,pain,sadness and anger on one word, it's expectation. In a way I agree with her. What do you think? Expectation- by billiep She awakens, it's her phone, it's ringing, it's him. She's excited. There's a party tomorrow. She expects him to ask her to go. She lures him to ask her. She says "hey are you busy tomorrow?" He answers "well, why do you ask?" she retaliates "oh nothing just wondering". in her desperation she asks his friend who will go to call him and ask him if he was brining her along. Their friend say "Hey are you brining her along" he answers "why are there girls" their friend replies "What are you talking about?" he answers " if she wants to go, then she'll go". She read the messages. She was frustrated. She expected too much. She blames herself for her stupidity. She could feel her face go white, she could feel her eyes turning red. She was mad, disappointed and angry. She didn't know how to deal with it. She aggravated the situation. She sends him a message saying "Do you want me to go or not" she didn't know if it was the right thing to do. She was angry, it was pure impulse that brought her to do such an idiotic action. He doesn't reply. It's killing her. She calls. He doesn't answer. She gets more agitated. She doesn't know what to do. Her friends are bugging her. Their asking if she's going. She doesn't know what to say. She ignores all their messages. She falls on her bed. She lets her pillows and blankets take hold of her numb body. She can't lift her arms anymore, she was too angry to move. She cries. She let herself be engulfed by the strong power of sleep. It's 3 am she finally fell asleep. She waked up and checks her phone. It's 10 am. No messages from him. She felt disgust and remorse for herself. It was her fault. It was her own fault she was in that state and no on else's. She blamed her self instantly. A whole week has passed and he hasn't called or messaged her. She took the hint but still, she waited, she waited for his messages. They never came, she knew it was over. But she couldn't let go. Up to now she waits for someday he might return.
