Does studying abroad make you so special?

I don't think studying abroad is so special, in fact I don't like what going abroad at all does to some people, a lot of people change and not for the better when they start travelling over seas, they come back thinking because they go to another country which they usually only go to tourist areas they are the experts on that place, and a few people I know come back with this worldly snobby attitude....so I guess studying is a little different I guess it depends on the person but some people change and it is not always for the better...

NO I just think again it is one of those people see on a resume and say oh wow you are great - you went so and so to study you must be so well educated - when that makes no sense - if it makes you smarter to study in foreign countries why is it the well educated doctors and other progessional foreign people when arriving here are not able to continue there profession - it is a differen curriculum and also because the american people think they are not as smart - it is a weird flip sided kind of thing if you ask me dear

There is nothing so specially there. If you have the money to study abroad or to study in a prestige university- you can do it.
