How old were you when you got your first CAR??!!

I was 16 when I got my first car. I think it cost me all of $300 and I used it to get back and forth between school and the job I had after work. It was a blue sub-compact honda civic... you know those ones that have like 15 clowns pouring out of it in the circus? It was a standard and I think I had it for about 6 months to year when I traded it in for a better one.

I was 18 when I got my first car, my parents got a new car and gave me the old one to drive my sophmore year of college. It was a '82 Dodge Aries Wagon (mind you I went to college in '93), It was light yellow, an automatic with power nothing, an AM radio, and a headliner that sagged so bad I had to use ribbon and sewing pins to tack it up so I could see out the rearview mirror. I loved that car. I drove it through college and for 3 years afterwards (and it still never hit 100,000 miles). One day, I just sensed it was near it's end and started looking for another car. We sold it to the son of my Mom's friend for $200 and sure enough, 3 things went wrong on it in the next six months. We had warned them that it was close to dying though, so they did not hold it against us.
