I know it is a stupid question but I am new to here and would really want to ask. What is the meaning of the number under the name of a person?

It says the number of the dicussion that you have started. What makes a really difference is the number on your star ,it means which level you are at.

It is not a stupid question. It is basically the number of points you have earned. It is related to the number of discussions you have responded too.

Hello henry_gale Welcome to myLot. You mean the star or number beside the name, the star is the quality i guess, and you will see your star if you reaches 100 post. and the number beside your name is how much did you post, make a discussion and responses discussion.
