I'm sure chocolate will go bed if you keep it for too long .I have no idea how long it would last before it turns bed.I think it depends on the temperature,if keep in the fridge it might last longer then you keep it at the room temperature.

Good, pure chocolate does not spoil. The more crap which is added the sooner it might spoil though, but then it must have an expiration date on the package as well.

There's cocoa butter and fat spoils with time. It depends where you stock it, but in general, I throw away "old" chocolate when it has more than 60 days, even if I think that in good conditions it could stay for 3 months.
