I must say that Cesar Montano has a clean slate. Just like the late Fernando Poe Jr. The guy has credibility, and he has proven himself that he's capable of exceling in his chosen craft. But he's way too fast in having himself go for a senatorial seat. He's defintely inexperienced with the tasks of being a senator. In most cases i'd like someone to go through a "seasoning" process before moving to national politics. I'd ask that a person should start from the local level to have some experience. But in this case I'd like Montano to go directly into the Senate. I'd like him to go there still uncorrupted by our local political bureaucracy. I'd give him the chance without him going through and starting as a mayor or a councilor - i believe that if he starts out small and learns the ropes, he might become corrupted like the others and be as corrupted as everyone else when he becomes a senator. You might say that inexperienced people mustn't go to the Senate. But if you will remember, Loren Legarda started as a Senator immediately and served well - it's because she went to the senate still uncorrupted by our politics. On the contrary, Estrada started from the bottom. By the time he became the President he was already corrupted by the system because of his familiarity with it.

Probably not.. He doesn't have a strong background to become a senator. I suggest, he must start as a councilor or congressman first before going into a higher position. I don't even know his REAL intentions. I never heard him before helping others or being an aide to those in need. I know it sounds judgmental, but I really want someone for the position who can really help the country in promoting fair and good government. =)

having read Brian's response, I'm now thinking..but still indecided. I might give him a chance too knowing that he's still fresh and new. he might still be idealistic and do something good for our country. but of course..I still ahve to think it over..anyways, we have one more week to decide.

I read Cesar Montano's advocacies at cesarmontano.wordpress.com. Iam convinced that he can serve the Filipino people and our beloved country with integrity and honesty. Sino ba sa mga senador ang may plataporma para sa pagsulong ng ating sining at kultura. Maliban dyan ay marami rin syang adhikain para sa ating bayan. I'll give him a chance. Let's all give him a chance.

I will not vote for him. First, it is really hard to gamble or to take the risk of voting cesar knowing his background and what he knows in the Philippine politics. I will not lost another future for our country. I don't like to sounds so judgemental but I always want the best for our nation and besides I am not saying that cesar knows nothing about the Philippine politics. What I mean is the experience in serving the Filipino people because part of it is politics. If I think only few senators is qualified for my standanrd then, I better not complete the list. We cannot take back what is written in the ballot. It maybe a grace or disgrace. So, careful judgement is a must. Anyway if cesar is true and sincere to serve Filipinos, he can serve in many ways even without the position. Peace to his supporters!
