I just got my tenth text today. Forget the fact that these things cost money to send and receive (annoying), but the thing that's really bugging me is that I realized I haven't had an actual conversation with a bunch of my friends in weeks! It's like everyone is too busy to make a phone call, so sending a few lines of text seems acceptable. Granted, I've been really guilty of this too, but it's recently started really bugging me. What do you think? Is this technology making our personal relationships less real? Reduced to a few lines of text on a cell phone? What should the etiquette be for when to send and when not to send texts?
