Worried about being rejected motor insurance on my new car.

I came to Cyprus to live in January and shiped my car over, as soon as I could I bought T.P insurance for it. 3 weeks later I was involved in a motor way accident being my stupid split second fault, no one was badly injured thank goodness. I did not mention any thing to my parents because I did not want them to worry. They came to visit me on the 6 June and asked me why am I riding a bike? and I told them my car died on me and was not fixable, which is sought of the truth. The following morning whilst I was at work my dad suprised me with a new car. I went back to my insurance company with the details and they gave me a cover note and I also paid them the full premium and they gave me a reciept. The following day they called me again and told me that I may have to pay more money or they will not insure the car at all because they had to pay out a very big claim, they will hear back from head office and get back to me. Do you think my insurance company will not insure the car? or will they raise my premium? It has been 5 weeks now and I still have not heard back from them. I will be so greatfull if anyone can answer
