do you scare your kid at times when they become really stubborn? or when they become so naughty or wreck havoc around the house, but still are so adorable, but then you have to teach them discipline? how do you do it? what do you tell them? do you scare them with ghosts? or a spanking?

It doesn't work for me to scare my kids, they don't believe my threats LOL. But I think it's very important to teach them discipline. It's been pretty easy so far, they are two boys of 11 and 12, but I get sometimes apprehensive when I think about them getting into puberty. I guess scaring them doesn't work, punishment does.

don't you give them that "if you don't behave, you're gonna get some spanking" look?

I have never gotten to a point like this, my sons are generally well behaved. They listen to me because they respect me. They rarly act up but when they do or are close to it I just treat them diffrently, I try to treat them as adults and give them as much respect as they do for me and when they miss behave or do thing i feel are inapropriate then they lose that pespect and special treatment untill they have proven to me that they deserve to have it back.
