Why do pigs have curly tails?

I have just always wondered...there soo cute all curly..but anyone know why?

I can't find out why yet. But i are still looking. However i found that some pig farmers cut off a bit of the piglets' tails soon after they are born. This is because piglets often chew each other's tails!

noo wayyy really??? wow..i didnt know that..and i never would have known that about them chewing each others tails..and maybe the fact that they get cut they just curl by themselves?? hummm..when ya find out let me know!! and hey thanx soo much for you help..i wish i could give u best response too!!!

Because if they didn't, we would never had come up with the term "Pig Tails" ..Poor Pippy!!

I don't have an answer to that. But, not all pig breeds have a tail that curls. I suppose it is just the way they were created. Same as any other being.
