Friends and Birthdays

Three of my good friends have birthdays this month. Its also mothers day and we just had a new baby so funds are kind of tight. Can anyone suggest a good idea for something I can do for thier birthdays thats not to costly? What do you usually do for your friends on thier birthdays?

i always make it a point to do something special for my friends' birthdays... if you're Catholic, you can offer a mass for your friend and you can bring him/her to church... or you can call your favorite radio station and ask that a song be played in honor of your friend... why not have his/her bday published on your local newspaper?... you dont have to spend much as long as there is the thought of remembering their special day...
