Spider-Man 3 Breaks Opening Day Record

BoxOfficeMojo is reporting that spider-man 3 has made $148 million in its opening weekend, completely shattering the previous record of $135 million set by The Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Mans Chest. lol... are you saying that few watched the movie but the ticket prices went up thats why it broke their previous record? ^^ maybe!?! O_o

Actually, no there is little difference between the prices for Pirates 2 and Spiderman 3. However, Spiderman did open in a record amount of theatres which certainly contributes to the difference. Considering that Spiderman has no competition on the horizon they will do huge business for a couple of weeks, then who knows. The movie is already in the profitability zone so its all gravy from here. Wish I owned some Sony stock.
