Lets make a reservation in Japan, there is many form of lodging in Japan. Hotels, youth hostels, ryokan inns, capsule hotels, and love hotels. Don't forget when reserving any Japanese accommodations, bear in mind that many smaller operations may hesitate to accept foreigners/gaijin, fearing for language difficulties or other cultural misunderstandings. You better have Japanese acquaintance or local tourist office to make the booking for you. And keep in mind that prices are almost always given per person not per room. Almost all type of accommodation, by law, required to make a copy of your passport unless you are a resident of Japan. Japan is mostly a cash only country, and smaller forms of accomodation usually do notreceive credit cards. Bring enough cash to pay em. note: Use Japanese Money ( ¥ Yen ) US$1 = ¥119.0 at 1 Jan 2007. Exchange it at Any Japanese Bank. there is two type of money Coin range from 1-500 yen, and bills from 1000-10000 yen. Hotel cost starting from ¥20,000 per person. they tend to be rather bland and generic in appearance. quite expensive, try another one if you really want to experience japan culture. I'll continue this later
