I recently listed an item on a "For Sale" website. I got a very fast response from a "buyer". I asked for the method of payment because I heard so much about possible scams. He said certified check. I thought that's OK. A day later I was told that he was sending me a check but his wife made a mistake and sent a check for $1500. more than the item I was selling. He asked me to take it to my bank, cash it and sent him the difference. WOW!
