Nasty replies on myLot / myLot

I posted another discussion a while ago asking for suggestions on some other topic. I have one good reply then someone else came in a posted a nasty reply. His post does not warrant to be reported, but it was nasty enough to make me want to drop that post all together. What do you normally do in a situation like this?

If I base my reactions according to mylot's guidelines, I will instantly report that person to the admin. It is included on their do's and don'ts, so I guess that would be the fairest decision to be made. But if you ask me what to do on that certain abuser, I would answer back and ask that person of his problems. because for me, I do not simply let anyone step on my posts, especially if the things they say have nothing to do with the topic that was being discussed.

I rated him a '-' and ignored him, thought that was the best thing to do :)
