Can Starving make you eat anything

It's happened with me a number of times that I could not eat when I was hungry because of time constrains and then I eat whatever I got in front of me to fill my stomach. I cannot starve and I can eat anything I get if I have to do so.:) How many of you all are like me. I have seen people at my work making faces for food they don't like even after starving for hours long...I wonder how do they do it?
