Recently in Toronto, Ontario, here in my hometown, a number of animals from across Canada were honored for their acts of bravery. All had saved the lives of one or more humans. Among those being honored was a cat, Mel-O. All of the others were dogs. Mel-O had saved the life of a nine year old Type 1 diabetic boy from Alberta. Mel-O, a female, who got that name because she rarely purrs or meows, saved the kid not from a fire or any such disaster, but rather by sensing that the kid's Blood Sugar levels were dangerously low while he was asleep on the upper bunk of a bunk bed. Mel-O, climbed up the bed's ladder, slapped the kid's face, pounded on his chest by jumping up and down and purred loudly into his ear until he awoke. The kid was within minutes of going into shock or a seizure, which could've been fatal. The boy's mother still does not know how a cat on the floor could sense someone experiencing low blood sugar in an upper bunk while the person was still sleeping, but what she does know is that Mel-O saved her son's life. Since then Mel-O has been very nice to the young man whenever he is sick. At the ceremony when Mel-O received her Medal Of Honor, she gave out a loud Meow and a long purr. The audience, clapped, whistled, hooted and chanted her name. This story grabbed my attention, because about 10/12 years ago, I was comforted by a cat during a period of excruciating pain. I wrote about it on the internet, it got picked up by a pet food company and later by a wire service and the cat Splat, became famous. Has your cat, or a cat you know of, ever done anything using his/her psychic communication with you or any other human?
