Guitar popular songs

Hey, anyone know some really good songs to be able to play on the guitar at parties/when with friends? Songs that everyone can sing along to,even if sung very badly?!!

Yes,I like Guitar ok. My oldest son plays the guitar. he and his wife sings and he plays the guitar. I will tell him to log on to these discussions. I am sure he will like them as well as I do.

stairway to heaven trust me everyone seems to shut up and listen to the gentle strumming of the guitar. Its a grand hit! and playing this song in a large crowd always gets the ladies

"Gloria" and "Light My Fire" are good songs and you only have to know three chords! (E flat, D, and A-- if I remember correctly. I haven't played the guitar for a long time, but those two and "I Wanna Be Free" are really easy songs and lots of people like them. :-0
