A wife leaves her husband and child and prefers to be free

I know a story about a woman. She was young when she decided to get married and she didn't know what to expect from marriage. It is normal for people to make mistakes moreover when they are young. So she has a child and she was very happy that she has it. Actually she is happy with him now, too. (the child was 5 years old then) The woman is a writer and one day she met the man of her life, a professor who lived in France. She fell in love and she decided to leave her husband and to try to be happy with the professor. Moreover, her husband couldn't make her happy in the way she deserved. But her husband didn't give her the child so she ran away without the little boy. She started living in France with the man of her life. They were in love with each other and that love was true. After 3-4 years the professor diead and she was alone, totally alone but she knew what real love is. Do you think that the decision to leave her husband and life was right?
