Well I doubt he is the final horcrux but even if he is I doubt that JK Rowlings would kill off Harry. Think about this from the view point of her life. She wrote the books hoping to make money. She lucked out and has made a lot of money from them. Harry for her is the proverbial goose that laid the golden egg. She is not going to do anything to jeapordize her money coming in. After all she is a single mother and has to think about her kids as well as her. If she kills off Harry that will kill off a lot of people buying that final book once they hear of it (and lets face it everyone would). People would not be buying gifts sets for others of the series in the future and people would as a general rule not recommend it. Then you also have the revenues from the movies. If she kills off Harry you can bet those revenues will go down as well. People won't be as interested to see the movies or buy the DVD's, let alone all the other merchandise you can buy like the wands, robes etc. JK Rowlings isn't that foolish as to kill all that off as well with Harry. I think she's smart enough to know that Harry needs to stay alive.

You are looking at the short term drop in money where I'm looking at long term. I know I wouldn't buy the last book if I found out he was killed in it. Why bother? That would be lousy. I also wouldn't bother to buy the other movies. I know many who feel this way as well. Let alone future sales, you know the kids that are only 3 or 4 right now. When they get older and parents start buying them "Gift Set Books", how many will buy Harry Potter knowing that it ends with the hero dying? No it will hurt her earnings. It doesn't matter how rich she is right at the moment. The money goes fast especially if it's not being replaced.

and if I had kids then I wouldn't stop them from reading something just because it has a sad ending. That's not really teaching them much about life is it?

I didn't say people wouldn't because it was a sad ending. It would be a cheated ending. Harry has bested Voldemort in every book. To have him die in the last is a cheat. That would be like at the end of LOTR to have the Frodo and Sam die at the end. No one would have liked that. It would not be as well liked as it is today. One of the morals in the story is that good wins out over evil. To have Harry die at the end wouldn't show that.

harry cannot be a horcrux........rowling has herself confirmed that harry is not a horcrux.Logicall thinking why would voldermort put his soul in a child and a very small new born child. maybe harry wasnt even born when voldy made his horcruxes .what would definitly happen is that harry and voldy will fight ....( i speculate that hey face each other twice ).harry will surely come to godrics hallow and will find one of the horcrux there . two of the main charecters will die. we will find out for sure if snape is good or bad

I hope he doesn't but it sort of makes since. i mean they are connected some how. i mean when Vodermert is up to something Harry's scare is always in pain. So i can see where this does make since.

I don't really believe Harry is the 7th Horcrux. He may be, but I think it's something else that is associated closely to Harry. Because there are 5 more right? Because they've destroyed the ring and the diary. So what's left is the locket that RAB stole, the cup of Hufflepuff, and something or Ravenclaw and of Gryffindor. And then the 7th is unknown. Some say it could be Nagini. But it is possible that it's Harry. However, the prophecy says that Harry should be the one to kill Voldemort, right? (Although Dumbledore said that he should not let the prophecy rule his decisions) If so, then Harry would have to kill himself first so that Voldemort would be vulnerable enough to be killed. SO someone else would have to do that. And it's not as the prophecy goes. If they attacked each other at the exact same time, it'd be Priori Incantatem all over again. Unless somebody uses someone else's wand. If that's the case and Harry is the 7th Horcrux, then he really has to die first. So I don't think that he is the Horcrux. I was thinking, if he is, then Voldemort should've known that he will get deformed or something when he made that 7th Horcrux. I mean, he should've known because he kept on deteriorating looks-wise everytime he goes and rips his soul. He already looks awful, I mean, ripped his soul 6 times, what more could he expect right? Well maybe he expected to still be solid after the 7th Horcrux is made. So maybe that's why he got angry with Harry. So if it's true that Harry is a Horcrux, then that would be like saying that his mom's sacrifice didn't work at all. He got a part of Vodly inside of him. That's not exactly a "protected by a mother's love" situation. It's either he's not the horcrux or Dumbledore had been lying to him all along.

well, nobody can really say but that i think is a very logical possibility. The prophecy says that only one of them can live. but i don't like harry to die, that would be a very tragice ending
