How much time do you spend making yourself look beautiful?

Women are known for spending too much time in the mirror. I even saw in Oprah once about a girl who has to wake up early and spend about 2 hours in the mirror putting on her make-up. So I want to know how long do you spend in making yourself look beautiful? As for me, I spend about 3 minutes tops putting on lipstick, face powder and eyeliner. How about you?

I don't spend a lot of time making myself look beautiful because i'm already beautiful. LOL. Just kidding! I'm not really that conceited. I don't wear make-up on a daily basis but when I do wear it I usually take about 15 minutes to apply eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, foundation and lip gloss.

Maybe you spend 15 minutes of making yourself up because you just lack practice since you dont put make-up everyday. The main reason why it would just take me so little time to put on make-up is because I am so used to it and can even do it with the lights out. LOL! Thanks for responding!

You're right! I used to be able to do my make-up in 5 minutes but I don't do it very often anymore so it's like i'm learning all over again. I'm also a perfectionist. Everything has to be perfect or I will wipe it off and start all over again. Smokepiff - I was just kidding! Geez, you know i'm not REALLY conceited. LOL

It depends on where I'm going. If it's just school, it's probably 10 minutes (concealer, eyeshadow/liner, mascara). If it's some kind of special occasion, I'll take my time, especially since I like playing around & experimenting with my make-up, lol.

I love to experiment with make-up too especially if it's new. However, I don't use much concealer and only use it very rarely. Thanks for responding!

No problem, and consider yourself lucky! I'm only 17 and I have really dark circles under my eyes, so concealer is a must! I guess that's what I get for staying up late all the time lol.

No matter the age, one can't help getting dark circles if one is lacking in sleep. I didn't wear make up at all when I was still 17 years old because it was still considered taboo at that time and our culture is really different from yours. Concealer is actually considered a must by make-up artists and I quite agree too that is why I keep it handy with me but I am just too lazy most of the time to put it on.

I spent also that much time trying to make hair curly for a party that I am going to attend. My hair has some natural curls also and I want it to be really straight, so I just had it straightened at the salon for easy maintenance. Thanks for sharing!

Really? Don't you feel the need to make yourself beautiful for your husband? Strange, but I also did the same thing when I was still with my hubby. I don't take as much effort to make myself beautiful compared to when I was still single. Could it be that we are already secure in our beauty? LOL! or that we just don't feel the need since we are already married anyway?

I'm a low maintenance gal, and I don't put on make up on a daily basis. Just eyebrow pencil, lipstick, two-way powder foundation and if I have the luxury of time, a dab of cheek tint. I don't even blow dry my hair or have the the time to iron it. I think with women like us who's more into the simple look, people get surprised when they see us wear full make up. And with those who wear them always, it's also surprising for people to see them without it. :)

I so agree with you. There are days that I just wear lipstick and put 2-way powder foundation and nothing more. Thanks for responding!

Hi friend, for me personally I don't often spend much time in the mirror but at least lesser than 30 minutes, that's when everytime I woke up early morning and after i took my shower or before going out somewhere. :-)

i would take about five minutes each morning. i don't put make up on, a lipstick or lipgloss will do for me. the extra minutes are for toning and putting on moisturizer:)
