Does your child irritates you when you are in a big toy shop?

when i bring along my kids to shopping i know what they'd be up to and i should be ready for that. in case i just want to take them for window shopping i make it a point that they understnad what it meant and should not pester me about buying them toys. before we go inside the mall we'll have "minutes" on what to do there. i'll set certain rules for them to follow. fortunately the trick always works.

I think it is very common for children to act that way when they are in toy stores. No experience but I have seen children act that way when I am in store shopping.

Mine don't, most of the time. My kids are allowed to do chores to earn money, so if they ask for something in the store, I ask them "Do you have the money?" If so, they can buy it. If not, they can save for it. My kids know that I rarely buy candy at checkout, and that I only buy toys at birthdays and Christmas, so they just don't ask often. They're more likely to ask the price and then start plotting to do all the chores before anyone else has a chance.
