i dont like advertisement during tv shows

do we realise that a big slice of television airtime is being dominated by advertisements? Just switch to any free to air and also paid channels and you will find that there are more tv commercials than programmes. 50% of airtime is set aside for commecials. If a programme is slotted for half an hour, the advertisements will take 15 minutes of the slotted programme. As a viewer, im fed up of this all. Im dissatisfied when my enjoyment of a programme is spoilt by the frequent advertisements. I really hope that there are other alternatives for the advertisements to be aired less frequent.
