Do you lock your cars doors whenever you are out of your car?????

I also live in west virginia but i moved here from a city and yes i have the habit of locking my car every time i leave it my daughter says im nuts but id rather be safe than sory .i also lock it when im in it alone cause of car jackings !

The only time I do not lock my car is in front of my house when I am getting ready to leave or am unloading my groceries or other shopping items. There is no point in locking my car each time I go in and out of my house to put stuff in my home. Other than that, I do lock my car all the time to be safe. I also use the club to prevent anyone from stealing my car, though my car is so old I doubt anyone would want to steal it. We lock our doors and homes for security reasons, especially now a days with there being more criminals.

Yeah, I do lock the doors of my car whenever it‘s parked outside my house. If it’s parked inside my fenced compound I usually don’t lock them. However I still lock them during night time for safety precaution.

I never lock my truck doors...ever...I rarely lock the door to my house....where I live it really is not an issue. I frequently leave my purse in my truck while running into a convenience store and have even left it when going into Walmart on several occassions... Our crime rate is almost none...here you make the front page of the paper for little thing.... I just would not live where I could not feel the level of safety that I do now..... I think that people do these things out of a fear of what could happen...the facts are clear...we live in a time when there are a lot of deviant people doing terrible things....

I usually only lock my car doors if I will be leaving it unattended for a length of time. I mostly just set the alarm when i go shopping, etc. My car is garage kept when not in use so I really don't need to lock it even in the evening. good topic babyangie27 :-)

I always lock them. It's common practice here in Brazil. Also, if you're somewhere that not everyone can have their car, you should be careful with that, right? So I lock them. Since I live in a quiet building, SOMETIMES I feel ok to go talk to the building janitor without locking the door of my aptm. cheers ^^

I suppose it depends where you live and how friendly, or otherwise, the community you live in. I never lock my car and occasionally my house if we are away for the weekend. Even then, we once went away for a week and came back to find we had left the front door not only un-locked but partly open! The professional thieves will always get in by smashing something so you might as well save that bit of damage!

yes I do, funny thing is when we lived in the city I did not. but out here in the woods - you bet I do. There is a murderer on the lose now for the past 2 months uncaptured. He hides in the woods... what's to say he won't go take residence in my vehicle hiding out waiting for one of us to get in it and whammo! Also, I lock my door when I am pumping gasoline, I know of someone who did not and a thief entered her car from the opposite side of the gas tank and stole her purse -

Surely I do lock my car when i am not near. Holy cow i dont want some nuisance with it.

I always lock everything when I'm leaving them unattended. It has always been a habit, sometimes I even do it when I get out of the car to fill some gas!
