okay guys i hate to be a downer, but it looks like several people may be kinda down today, so i want to tell my story, cuz i'm bout ready to jump over the edge. need to vent, sorry! so we're financially UNSTABLE right now, like a lot of people, but i got laid off awhile back, and it's been hard to find a job, cuz i have to work around my hubby's weird hours. so the one paycheck has been difficult. THEN my hubby's work goes on strike for a few weeks, and that REALLY kills us. we have the car company calling and calling, and they are NOT nice people. we finally paid rent today, which is late of course, but it's paid. cable came to my door, well we haven't had cable in months, but they came to collect their box, why they didn't do that when we cancelled, i don't know, but it made me mad, just cuz it was today of all days. our electric company is threatening us. we are not deadbeats who don't want or don't feel like paying our bills...we simply CAN'T. and all these people are jerks when you call to explain. we're not ALWAYS late. i'm hurt by the remarks, and sad to be so behind. don't know where to get help. frustrated and just depressed. all i ask is for some prayers. i don't know what else to do but put it in God's hands as my mind is in such scrambles, and i'm having panic attacks. or if you have any ideas on how to make some quick bucks? just want this frustration to end. have you been there? ugh, so much of a pain!! thanks for reading.

I am so sorry that u are going through this. I am not as bad but I am close. I am 26, and when I was younger i had a bf who fooled me. When we broke up I was so deep in debt that there is no way i could pay. I contacted an advisor and together we have a plan. I am now paying close to $600 every month so that I one day will be out of debt again. It is not easy and i am lucky to have a bf that is supportive of my problems that I had before him. I am positive about the future for the first time in a long time.

no there is no one. we've had help from family in the past, and had probs with that. it's hard to admit to some people that you're behind ya know? our parent sgive us lectures, our friends, well that's a joke. and i can't do the advisor thing, it's not credit cards and such that we're in trouble with. we actually don't have and credit cards, which i also think that's why some of these people calling can't understand. they think we can just put payments we owe onto a credit card, NO we choose NOT to have credit cards, but then we're looked down on for that? it's a problem we've had before. you take one step forward, and then soemthing knocks you 3 steps back. one day i hope to be settled again. but for now, it's struggle after struggle. and it's scary.

I can feel the pain and fear in your words and my heart goes out to you. Yes, I have been below the level of the curb before with no end in sight and no hope. Take a deep breath, let all the negative and painful energy out as you exhale, focus, and think positively. It is said that what we expect to get (or live) is what we will receive (or endure). Is it possible for you to work from home? There are many ideas I can think of to help you brainstorm ideas, but it would be helpful to know what your skills and interests are. Many of my friends I've made over the years earn a good living with such things as graphic design, website design, running a small daycare, selling on ebay, photography, providing errands services, consulting, doing taxes or finances for others, freelance secretarial or marketing for businesses, pet services (grooming, boarding, training), woodworking or other crafts, tutoring, teaching a language, giving music lessons, teaching computer basics, and the list goes on endlessly. There are also work at home employers like the one I work part time for. I have been working from home and supporting my family as a single mom since 2003. It can take a little time to get hired with a work at home employer, and some have restrictions about where they can do business...for example, the company I work for the pay averages $9-$12 per hour but they cannot hire workers in, say, Montana or some other states. I do other things which earn me more than that from home like freelance writing, web design, seo, and affiliate marketing but all of those can take some time to build, too. What are some of your skills, strengths and experiences? I am sure there must be something marketable that you could begin at home with no investment and begin earning fairly quickly. I hope that by the time you read this things are looking up for you. You will be in my thoughts.

oh my goodness, thank you for all your words! you seem like a very positive person. and i've looked at many different things to do from home. actually i have an interview this wednesday, and i would be an employee not an independent contractor, which i actually am right now with another company. but i had probs with my phone lines, so i got put inactive...ANYWAY, i still would like to go over options and brainstorm with you if i could. i'll PM you tomorrow if i have time, we have a doc appt and some other errands to run, it may be later, but i will soon anyway, cuz it sounds like you have some awesome ideas! thanks for that! SEE? what a blessing, mylot has allowed me to network and vent, and find just what i needed...God does work in mysterious ways!

I am really truly sorry to hear that you are having so many difficulties. I will keep you in my prayers and you are doing the right thing by putting it in God's hands he will take care of you and show you the path I sorry I can't really advice you any farther then this because I don't know what type of government programs they have in Denver. But if I come across anything I will be sure to let you know.

yea, it's hard to get government help here. my hubby "makes too much", and it's not tons by any means. it's irritating, it's cuz we're married. if i was a single mom, AND working, most likely i could get help. thank you for your prayers. i think God has helped and that's why i'm feeling better right now. He puts my mind at ease ya know?!!

gorgeous you always seem to know how to respond! and i thank you girl!! i agree with everything you just wrote. i truly believe that we are where we are supposed to be, right at this exact moment, AND as cliche as it may sound, everything happens for a reason. we are NOT out on the street, we have a roof over our heads, we have a car, it may only be one car, but some don't even have that ONE car. my son is fed (not as well, or as healthy as i would like to feed him), but he IS fed, and is clothed. we donate old clothes of ours and his to charity along with toys and such, to give back, as we have received so many blessings ourselves. so i cannot complain, as so many people have so much less than i. i just get so nervous when we receive collections calls, and these collection people are so nasty. it hurts me that they think we're just slackers, or don't WANT to pay our bills, that is NOT the case, but you know that's how they view us. that's why i get upset. hate that they judge. hate the phone! lol!!

Thanks so much..I believe everyone has a story of their own and Im so glad that you shared yours. God sees all the good you do in life...think of those kids who get the clothes you donated, they must be so happy. Next time those telemarketers call your house repeat everything they say..there going to get frustated and not call your house anymore. LOL I've had a great discussion with you & Im looking forward to many more. Always keep your head up..and if you cant I will always hold mine up for you!
