Ethanol Gas the gas of the future

Well they are putting an ethanol plant in my city Tampa fl and I did some research on it. I dont think it is such a good idea it takes more energy to make it then its worth. This mkes me made the more I looked into it the more I found it to be a political thing. A way for the government to make money. I would like to hear what other people think If you have heard about this?
