Last week i went for a tour from my college. We captured some good moments of the trip... I took photos of almost everything on my way.. Coming to the point, I happened to see a cute baby... I was so attracted by it that i wish could get a photo of that beauty ... I asked the parents for taking a photo .. But they not only didnt allowed me to take photo but also used bad words .... All my friends heard this and made fun of me.. Was there anthing wrong in taking a photo of that kid.. Surely its good to keep strangers away from taking their photos... But this incident disappointed me much that i decided not to take photo of others.....

I probrally would have asked you why you wanted to take a photo of my child. I am not a trusting person. As a parent I feel I must look for hidden dangers everywhere. I don't allow anyone other then people I know to photograph my children because there are too many perverts out there and you don't really know who you can trust. I wouldn't have used abusive language towards you. They should have politely turned you down.

Depends what the purpose for the photo is. My dad used to be the website manager for a popular radio station in my area. He was in charge of reporting news and taking photos for the website so one of his jobs everyonce in a while would be to take pictures of kids having fun in the park. Alot of parents were very hesitant though of course. Alot of stuff goes through their head when a stranger wants to take a pic of their child. But i wouldnt take it to seriously if I were you. Of course it hurt your pride, but they were just looking out for their baby and didnt know you were harmless.

Well i wouldnt allow a stranger to photograph me either coz nowadays you can never be sure what the person may use it for. There lots of instances of morphed pictures appearing on the internet and so it is better to be safe than sorry.

I can understand the parents saying no to taking the photo. There are alot of people out there who would use the photo for something bad and they were only protecting their child. It is good that you asked first though. It's still a good idea to ask, even an adult.

I wouldn't let you photo my child. However I wouldn't care if you took my photo. All kinds of people have photos of me. People I don't know and will never meet.

hmmmm..... I think about it. If the person is a famous photographer and will put my photo in the popular magazine, i love my photo to be taken by the famous photographer. Haha.... well, any person else, well, i will not simply let them take my photograph. But i think that nobody would want to take my photograph, just not worth it. Why I don't like, I believe most of you don't like also to have your photo simply taken by strangers, we must be careful with strangers, we might not know what is the purpose for the person to take our photo. They may use it for other purposes, i mean for bad purposes. I don't know but always avoid your photo to be taken by strangers. But the stranger also can copy and save your picture directly from the net, so?

Ok, I can understand your feeling. But you have to understand their (parents) feelings also. Did you ever think from their side thats the mistake you made. You are a stranger for them also they dont know that what you do with that photo. At the first look they may misunderstand you, like kidnapers or so.. I think you may have such look also.. What ever may be its your mistake, Because did you allow the strangers to take your kids photo.. No, Thats the feelings they also have
