I am very particular about the gas station from which I purchase gas. I can only use premium in my truck. Premium or not if it is not Amoco or Mobile I will not stop. My husband will pull up to any rinky dink station. I just don't trust them. I saw a show once where some stations do fishy stuff with the gas. So I will drive far off to find a reputable station. Besides that I just don't feel safe at some stations. Do you go to one specific station in your neighborhood. What do you search for when looking for stations. Do you prefer the convenience marts? I would really love full service stations but I don't think they are around any longer.

Yes, I have a particular favorite, as it is the cheapest in our town. There is also one that I frequent if the weather is bad, as it still offers full service. I just hate getting out in the pouring rain to pump gas in my uniform. Depsite that they charge 1 cent more per gallon for full service, it is worth it to me on those days!

Yeah... I think all stations should be mandatory full service...as much as gas is ..that should be a perk

I am like you. I only go to Shell or Amoco(BP) to get gas. I also get the premium gas. We don't like the Mobil station by my house, We think they water down the gas. The car doesn't run good if we get gas from there. Other Mobil station are fine. I always go to the same two stations.

You can tell if the gas is not right...Sometimes the same amount of money at one station will not give you the same amount of gas at a different station.

I don't live in the big city. I live in a northern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota USA that has a population of arouind 15,000. I am and always will be the type that likes to take my business to local area businesses. So I do have one particular gas station that I go to every time for gas. I also buy my smokes there and a little munchie if I feel the snacking urge coming on. I go to one other gas station and fill up maybe 4 or 5 times a year as they have a gar wash with an 8 gallong gas purchase or more. But I prefer my little S.A. gas station. I also use just one grocery store in my neighborhood, CUB FOODS. I shop Sams club the discount store a lot too. But not as often as Cub. HAPPY POSTIMNGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

It's not neccesarily the trust. It's just supporting a local business owner in my eyes is all.

I don't have any particular station that I will go to. I used to work in a gas refinery and they delivered gas to all local gas stations, so I don't know if there is really a difference. You would love it here in New Jersey. We only have full service gas stations. It's illegal to pump your own gas and our gas is cheaper that the surrounding states of Pennslyvania, New York and Delaware. It really comes in handy in the winter, when it's raining or when you are in your Sunday best and don't want to smell like gas. lol Lloyd

No joke. Some people from other states try to pump their own gas and the attendents tell them not to do it. They even check your oil and clean your windshield if you want. New Jersey has some problems but it has some good things too. Lloyd

I have a specific gas station. So whenever I have to fill up my gas tank, I go on searching for my station. I don't like to try different type of gas. I believe that it's still different from the one I'm using. In addition, I go to a specific gas station because my car is used to that station. If I go on try different one then my car might have some trouble adjusting. Although I know oils are all the same, I still believe that in some way it is different from the others. It's how stations processed their oils.

I find that my car doesn't care where I stop for go go juice. It lets me stop just about anywhere. Mostly where it is cheapest. My wallet seems to like it too!

I do have a specific station that it close to my home. I live in a small city (25,000) so it isn't too much of a worry in chosing a station - and to my knowledge - all are reputable. I don't waste money on premium - everything I have read indicates it makes no difference in the performance of your car.

Yes I do have a specific gas station I go to. I'm like you and am particular about where I buy my gas from. I don't know what it is but I just prefer Quiktrip over all other gas stations. They are easier to get in and out of, bigger, cleaner, better lit, better stocked, and friendlier than the other places. I also believe the gas is of a higher quality. On the few occasions I've had to fill up elsewhere I've gotten worse gas mileage than when I fill my tank up at Quiktrip. I usually get 350 miles to the tank but when I go to a different gas station I only get 300 miles, which is a HUGE difference! I could hardly believe it and thought it was a fluke the first time it happened but it's happened two or three times so I know it's the gas they're selling, not my car or anything else. I also wish there were more full service stations around but don't know that I could really justify spending the extra $$$, especially with gas prices how they are right now.

350 miles vs. 300 miles I don't blame u. That is a huge difference and saves u alot of money. The gas is probably watered down or something..It burns quicker

I am very picky with gas to. i go to shell i've always gone there.i put premium also because last time when i put regular gas my car ran crapy that whole week..i would like full service station too. i hate standing out with the pump and when sometime it dosent want to stay to fill itsself..when you have to stand and hold it the whole time.escpecially when its raining.

Yes I also look for the pumps that will hold and pump without me holding it.
