How do you backup your data?

Do you write it on CDs or DVDs? Do you buy online storage? What method do you use to securely backup your data? I remember reading somewhere that a CD has a lifespan of about 3-4 years and my confidence in CDs kinda waned ever since. I need to backup all my photos in case something happens to my hard drive, please help :)

i do write my data on CDs. besides that i also have an external hard disk drive. if you find a suitable medium to back up all your photos, maybe you could also upload your photos to a free online storage site, just to be on the safe side hehe.. ^_^

PhotoBucket is a great site whether you use the free or paid service.

I usually use DVD to back up my data. Thank you for this information. I didn't know that CDs have a lifespan of 3-4 years. I think you can use a free hosting for pictures like shareapic plus you earn from doing that. You can also buy a second hard drive. That's what I am thinking to do myself. Good luck!

I HAVE an externa hdd through which I take regular backup. I need to backup all my photos, mails, vdos, movies etc. Not to forget the songs. I think this is best way to do the same.

For pictures and images I use an online storage site, for text files and music I store them to a Zip drive. I know, it is archaic and old school but I might as well use the drive and all the discs that I bought lol. The text files take up almost no room so I can fit thousands of them on one zip disc.

Hello krayzee For photo i will choose CD's to back up, because the files are big. But for data or text files i will choose flash disc, easy to carry on and more safe i guess. God bless you *angel http://money-athome.blogspot.com http://planetmobilephone.blogspot.com

Try getting a flash drive or jump drive. This way you can have easy access to your data. They are convenient and easy to take along with you and can hold a lot of data on it.
