I got a good idea. How about we both get pregnant and switch babies if we don't get the gender we want?! LOL. Just kidding! I wouldn't mind a another boy one day but I would be thrilled with a girl. One of each is everyones ideal family.

If you are positive that you are done having children, I would explain in simple terms to your daughter exactly that-you are not having another child. If you are unsure though, I would just tell her you are thinking about it, but not ready yet. If you plan to adopt in the future you can tell her that too.

i guess you need to examine the reason you dont want more kids. If something was to happen to you your daughter would have no one. My step daughter is an only child she is 9 and still wishes for a sibling. She is often lonely. I feel bad for her. I have kids from my first marriage but they are 25 and 27. They love each other very much and have always been best friends.

I think if you are financially stable and able to care for two children then you should go for it but you shouldn't have another child because you feel like you "haved to" it should be something that you and your partner equally want. Honestly, I think the weight should be the least of your worries but i'm your friend and I could say that. LOL. Awwww, just go ahead and give the girl what she wants! (I bet your running to the phone to call me and tell me off, hehehe)
