If the world hit a real energy crisis, would you cut back on your computer's power, even use an old Pentium machine, for the sake of conservation?

no, never ever i would do that, i will not use tv, vcd, dvd, fans (until it is not so hot) and do other energy savings but i would not use a old pentium machine. and even if the old pentium machine uses less power but still uses the same amount of power becasue it is slower and takes more time than nowadays computers

No. I am already using an old P3 Celeron and can't wait to upgrade to a new machine. You can bet I will be running the Central Air / Heating as the seasons call for it while I'm running my new machine.

No way. I would make sure that I do not turn the light on when the sun comes through the window, I use vinegar instead of fabric softener, I use baking soda and vinegar in the sink instead of drain cleaner. There are methods you can down instead of making everyone in the West poorer, because people think people in Asia and the poorer countries are much better than us. The newer Pc are more economical and the repairs on your own Pc, the excess power they use means it costs more to operate them.

definitely not. for me it's also the same... think about about the time that your old pc will consume... your old pc will definitely cost much lower than the new pc's today but the time that you will finish your work is much more longer than using new generations pc's the longer you use your pc the more energy it will consume, so probably i'll still use my new pc rather than using my old machine.
