One day my grandfather and mother were sitting at the kitchen table talking. While they were talking, some how, my two older sisters got some white shoe polish and climbed under the table. All of a sudden, my mother started to smell the shoe polish and looked under the table. She was shocked and was afraid to tell her father what had happened. Now my grandfather was very tall, about 6ft 4 inches and he had really big feet. When he started to get up from the table he noticed that his black dress shoes were now splattered with white polish. My sisters, having the white baby shoes, figured that my grandfathers shoes were supposed to be white also. So they were trying to polish them. If I remember the story correctly my mother had no choice but to spank them after my grand dad wouldn't stop fussing.
