Do you walk daily? Now a days most people are hesitant to walk for they have bikes, bicycles or cars to move. But walking few miles daily will energize to a considerable extent doctor's prescribe it as walking is good for health. A morning walk in the winter or an evening walk in summer is really refreshing..Everyone have some experience they love to share: Walking hand in hand through the seashore, walking alone, walking with your kids or beloved ones...... What are your thoughts?

I walk around two miles every day. I was developing some health problems due to the sedenatry life pattern that was related to my work, but I foundit out just in time and got rid of some additional kilos just by adopting a healthier lifestyle that involves walking in the morning or evening. I have some friends who share this lifestyle, so it is always fun to walk, under the trees. This allows me some time for bird watching and photography as well.

A Beautiful Butterfly - I found this one in my garden and had to spend an hour to get a few good shots of it.
Yes, I enjoy my walks very much! I love the time I spend with nature. I haven't published any of my good pictures online. Here is one just for you. I took this a few days ago. This butterfly is a very restless one, and I had to wait for an hour to get half a dozen good pictures of it. By the way, I am glad that you chose to call me Joe. I wonder whether I should call you you Sree, or Vasu:)Keep posting!

walking and you health - walking makes your heart healthy.
walking is the best ever exercise for our whole physiology. if we can brisk walk about 4 kms daily, then we would do enough for the day's work out. it is said that walking can be best done in the morning when we can get to breathe fresh air. treadmill is a good substitute but ofcourse without the ambience of the green surroundings. however, after all this writing, i am sorry to admit that i do very little walking. i know i should, but eventually i end up in the gym to make it up. i think i should start accompanying my faher in the morning and get a healthy heart...

Walking also means walking to nature... walking to freshness. Health also means health for your mind and thoughts. It is relaxation and rejuvenation. Thank you dear for sharing.

I walk my dog about 1 mile total, twice every day. In the winter, it was considerably less though. :) I think walking is becoming less and less prominant in our lives. I have actually seen people drive to the store right across the street !! It is unreal. I enjopy the walk in the morning, after I get off work. It's always cool and I love the breeze. Sometimes, I just stand there in the field with my dog and watch the wind gently blowing through the wild flowers and the grass. It sounds funny, but that image in my head is so beautiful. It immediately relaxes me.

Even if you own a car, walking at least one mile daily is good. Thank you Joice.

Hi,sreevasu, you really remind me that I should restart to do some exercise. My living room is a very short distance from my office, I seldom have a walk. So for you advice I will take any chance to have a walk! Thank you!
