How do you sooth your baby whne he/she just won't stop crying and they are not hungry or dirty???? I rock my girl when shes upset sometimes it works and sometimes i have to put her in the stroller and go for a walk. Most of the times shes great she doesn't usually cry much but the past couple days she ALWAYS wants to be either on me or playing with me. She won't sleep in her bed its like shes scared of it and i have no idea why. I never force her to stay in her crib if she doesn't want to. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. Thanx

they make wonderful lotions these days to actually give them a little massage. If you just strip them to their diaper, and start gently massaging thier litle arms and legs and back, it usually calms them immediatlely! Think about it,, it makes us feel good to get massaged! And if they have been screaming and crying, they are tense, and irritable-it helps relax thier muscles.,,and it gives you bonding time. Try it.

I love doing this. Since my girl was little we have done this after bath time and it helps her sleep so much better and its actually proven to help keep your kids open to talking to you when there are problems in their life that we don't see.

I'm a mother of four so hope I can help, my youngest will turn 2 months next week. Things I've tried: Rocking baby, walking with baby, placing baby in a front carrier and walking, placing baby in stroller and walking, stepping outside for fresh air with baby (they love the sky), go for a drive, play some soft music, sing to your baby, talk with your baby. More obvious things would be check for a dirty butt and change it, feed him/her. If it is colic they say you can exercise their leg like a bike and it helps them. Why crying: needs diaper changed, got hurt (this can be a scratch, knee hit his/her swing, etc), colic, scared, just wants held, just wants to cry. Yes, babies also cry just to do it.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried all of what you suggested and I think I have it pinned down to being an ear infection my only problem is i can't get to a hospital or doctors office for at least 3 days so I will have to try other things to soothe her for now
