Do you have cetain family or friends that you speak to on the phone for ages.I have really long phone conversations with my daughter ,my sister and also a couple of friends.I dont mind but some days there just seems to be so much to do but i also want to talk .Problem solved i bought myself a headset. It plugs into my phone which i put in a mobile phone holder and clip to my waist band, its really great my hands are free so i can still do all my housework while i talk.it is amazing how much work i get donewhile i talk and i dont even notice i am cleaning and am always surprised just how much i do get done.My daughter has bought herself a headset so now we both chat as we clean it is just so great and with call waiting i dont tie up the phone from other incoming calls. My daughter lives interstate so our calls are always at least an hour or more .The headset cost about $30 and i think it is the best $30 i have spent in a long time

OMG I would love to have one of those but I am not sure my phone would take a headset, do all phones take headsets, I used to work for Telstra and in the old days we had the old big heavy phones and of corse we used to have haedsets and I remember one of the boys that used to work there pinched a phone and setset and he used to have it in his bathroom so he could sit in the bath and talk on the phone...I really want one now...

Thats funny i can just imagine him.i have a uniden cordless and it has a little cover on the side which comes out for the headset to slot into but i think most cordless phones have a place for a headset.it is really great and well worth the money, let me know how you go and if you get a headset

Well, what also is nice is when you have a Phone number that is tied in with your Computer and have a headset so that you can talk with someone, and surf the internet, or post here in myLot, etc. I have done that many times while talking with people on the phone.

Not much anymore I don't, although when I am away from home driving the truck I will talk to my partner three times a day for 19 minutes each time. Those calls are made during the free hour we get, but they can only last for 20 minutes and then it costs, so we hang up before then. When we first met, till I moved to where we not live, we could only see each other maybe once a week if I had a trip through her town. Then we could only see each other every second fortnight, when I didn't have access visits with my daughters. So during those times, we would talk on the phone for up to 3 hours at a time. That was when you could talk for 3 hours and it only cost the same amount. These days my daughters will phone mostly on the weekend when I am home. As they use home link, it all depends on the time of day as to how long we talk for. If it is the middle of the day at the dearer rate, the calls will be very short but if of any evening then the calls can be for a longer period of time. I am paying for the homelink calls, not them.

The longest phone calls I tend to have are about 5~10 minutes in total, I simply can't call any longer than that, when some actually keep on talking I just have the habit of placing down the phone for a while, getting something to drink and walking back in example. I'm not all too fond of long phone calls.

How does the headset plug into your phone? I only have a cordless phone - uniden, and the standard phone from the phone company. Did you need a special type of phone to do this? It sounds perfect.

Actually if you go to Walmart.com ..You probably can get a nice headset cheaper then that..I bought mine for $14 right at the Walmart across the river.;)+_
