This can be true. I have seen yellow soil. Sometimes the red soil becomes orange too. These changing soil color is merely affected by change of climate.

YES!Green,it's caused by lightening hitting the sand on the beaches before it dries.....it causes it to turn green

I think that colors are different per location...light soil is located close to water...like ocean and lakes....

That makes a lot of sense, the colors could be affected by the lake or oceans, just like the different color waters from the ocean.

I think if you go to Yellowstone National Park you can find yellow soil there. I did not know that there were 6 different colors. I have seen black, brown and red. I have not seen gray or white and I think I saw yellow at Yellowstone.

Wow, I didn't realize there were that many different colors of soi! I knew there were a few, but I didn't know there were 6. I don't think I've ever seen a few of those colors, but I've definitely seen brown, black, and red.

I would love to see yellow and green. I had never heard of green before. Wonder what shade of green, or different shades of green.
