hmm i would say that from the ones currently in active, Tiger Woods is the wealthiest of all by far.

I think Tiger woods is the richest sportsman ever.. Being rich by playing is sportsmenship but now a days its a buisness....

Ok there is no edit button but i found out that maria sharpova is the best earning athlete for 2006 with 24 million dollars and michael shumacher the best paid man athlete with 79 million dollars and that is compared to david beckhams 24 million dollars.
