Checking out the FAQ for the basics things is one thing, also for getting replies you can just try to be active so more people check your profile and see your discussions through there or get friends who would check your discussions. Activity though in the end is key, if you're active others will be active in your discussions easier as well.

Hi There and Welcome to MyLot!! I hope you enjoy yourself on this website because it is definitely a great one!! I hope this will help you a little bit on getting replies: 1. Start discussions on the areas of interest that you have. That tends to get more responses because when other people have the same interests you have they are more likely to respond. 2. When someone responds to your discussion try to answer them back as often as possible. Sometimes I get several responses and it may take me a while to get to all of them but I try to do some every day. 3. Look for discussions that you are interested in and respond to them. This way you will also meet new friends. I am going to send a request for you to be my friend and if I can help you any at all please feel free to ask.
