I just dug part of my garden

I dug up enough of the garden to plant the 6 pepper plants and the 4 tomato plants that I started indoors. And I dug up about a 4 foot by 2 foot section to put in a few potatoes. How many do you think I can put in that area? and how much bigger should I dig to be able to put in at least half a dozen potatoes?I'm planning ofn putting a few other vegies among the tomatoes and peppers, perhaps some lettuce and radishes. And I'm going to put beans, peas andcucumbers along my fence.

Well I am a bit too late to answer your question, but I do hope that all your veggies came up well and you have extra to freeze, can or share with others.
I did not get to put out any veggies this year for various reasons. Good luck with yours!
