I am home alone in the dark typing on the laptop... I keep hearing things... I am about to get up and turn on every light in the house to the ON position including the night-lights...lol . I am also going to turn on the tv so I can't hear anymore noises....Are you a scardy cat???

I don't get so scared being home alone (atnight) if I am alone while it is still light out. However if I have to walk into an empty house at night and know that I will be alone all night yes then I am a scaredy cat. I usually just keep the lights on in the room I am in though. and usually turn on the tv or music so I don't hear any noises. Then near my bed I have a sound machine on my nightstand that I put on when I am alone because I live way out in the woods and its very silent at night.

Oh yes it could be at times especially when I am home alone in a thunder and lightening storm. My BF travels for work and sometimes he's gone all week long! I think the scariest part though is when I am outside during the day fully knowing that there are black bear here in my area. I love to go for walks in the woods but will only do it in the winter when the bears are hibernating. LOL. ('',)

Oh no, I actually embraced the silence whenever I'm home alone. This often happened when I brought my girls to spend the night on a friend's house. I used to live and stayed alone in another country for many years. I'm used to being alone. I kept my mind busy and turn on the music to some soft sound.

i am not really good in the dark. i am not afraid, but growing up for some reason my mother never turned out the lights or turned off the tv. so when i do get a chance to be home alone enough, at all ever. so i don't know what i would do if i was home alone

Haha that sounds a bit like me! I get nervous when I'm home alone. I am sometimes fine with lights off, but depending on what I'm doing, I sometimes have to have them on. If something creepy comes on tv, then I definitely have to turn on all the lights! If I hear weird noises, I get freaked out too and have to turn on lights and the tv so that it won't scare me.

Yes, when I am home alone I have to have lights on in the house, so I can feel safe! I know that is silly but I hear noises and my dog is not a good guard dog, he will just go to the door or stand there or lay there, not worry about anything that is going on.

I will not lie, I am scared of everything. I have gotten better though I only have a night light on in my room, by the sink. And since I was little my mom always had a light on in the livving room so I do the same thing now that I live with my hubby. When he is gone I do get scared.

It bothered me for several years when my children were little----my hubby worked away from home a lot. I would sleep so poorly while he was gone, but when he was home on weekends I would just crash. It took him awhile to understand that it was because he was there and I felt 'safe' that I was able to sleep when he was home. As time went on, I did become more sure of myself and my ability to handle life's situations.

Yeah absolutey. Im even scared when im not alone sometimes. Ive had this huge fear or someone breaking in since I was really little. I actually had that fear come true last halloween, thank god that I wasn't home at the time, but someone came in and took a lot of my things. That didn't really help matters, and now im completely scared of being alone at night. I always leave a light on when im going to bed.

O no ..poor baby... "What u fear will come upon u" I actually don't fear someone coming in on me. I think I am more concerned with the unseen, the invisible... (don't even ask)
