I quite my job and decided to pursue other options!!! My job was the only source of stress and problems in my life so finally I had to let it go!!! Maybe you should think about another career path...or try yoga and meditating. I do both every morning and they really do wonders for the mind, body & soul!! Good luck..you deserve happiness:)

Well most of them either smoke or drink to get out of the depression..but its also said medically that smoking increases depression and tend to smoke more which is bad for health!

Taking a vacation is a good start. You need to get your mind completely off of work, which would require you to leave the place for a few days at least. I know how this is and I was burned out from work and I took a vacation for a week and I came back feeling much better and willing to do my best again. If you can't afford to take that much time off, take a weekend and maybe an additional day off, for a mini vacation. it is worth it! Trust me. You need to get away and relax that is why you are so burned out!

As a web/graphic designer, I have experience burnout before. It happened due to we worked on dateline. Sometimes there is no way I can avoid it. The way I overcame it, or at least to reduce it, I will not touch/design anything until I really have to. When there is no work, usually I would rather write something. Then I will be fresh when the jobs come :)
