I was not able to vote because my name was not found on the voters list!

I was not able to vote today! - Voting in national and local elections is every citizens' right. However, today, I failed to do so simply because my name was not found in the list! I am really disappointed because just like hundreds others, I was not able to exercise my right of suffrage. I promise to register again to ensure that I can really vote in the next election.

We were early at the elementary school where we used to vote so that we can avoid the crowd...for a few minutes, we searched for our names (with my daughter) from list to list...at last, we found my daughter's name, listed at precinct 101, but my name was nowhere to be found. I complained the matter to the precinct clerks, but they too could not do anything about it. After my daughter had cast her vote, we proceeded to the COMELEC to check the master list, only to find out that my name was deleted from the list for FAILURE TO VOTE TWICE! But I swear I never missed any election...and twice at that! What's even so intriguing was that the list does not also contain my daughter's thumbmark and signature, but her name was included in the voter's list, while mine was not. I was fuming mad because I was among those who were disenfranchized because our names were not found in the list. I felt so helpless over the matter. I am frustrated and disappointed because I was not able to exercise my right of suffrage. I learned from the radio that there are over hundreds of voters who like me, failed to cast their votes today simply because our names are not found in the list of eligible voters...that's really frustrating. I am a bit depressed over this...

that's frustrating to hear...i almost did not vote on that day because my name was no where to be found..last year i was voting on the same precinct as my parents but this year, my name was not on the list....though halfway mad and frustrated, i still continue searching alone my name as my parents started voting...and finally after almost an hour of searching my name i found it... actually many of my neighbors was not able to vote as their names were not on the list... well...as to the result..im happy that to the two people i've voted (i only voted one senator and one mayor), both of them made it on the list...im happy that i was able to vote the right person for the said positions...
