Do You Pray? Do you think its not a "canned" prayer? How do you pray?

prayer, power - prayer, sincere, God

This is just a simple question about prayer. You know what, i have seen lots of people who i think pray just to let others see he's praying, as a matter of duty to an activity rather than sincerity... or having a canned prayer. Now i see, canned prayer has been existing in us rather than praying what is between our hearts. For me, a prayer is an intimate conversation between you and your God. A kind of communication in which you could say everything you wanted to say as if He's your bestfriend or parents... or anybody whom you felt linked in love. How about u?

i would say that i am like talking to my best friend when i pray to God. i tell him about what had happened in my life today, the good and bad times, the blessings i received and the trials i met, the shortcomings i have done. it is during this moment of communication with Him that i remember my loved ones, asking Him to bless and guide them too. i usually end my prayer with these words...In Jesus Name...

It's really nice to know you being on that way. Yes, i agree with you because God could be like our bestfriend. And in that way then, we could open up our burdens to Him and rest assured it could lighten up our self. Thank you so much for a nice response!

The way im praying is like just talking or opening up with a friend. I pray at whatever the time of the day or whatever day of the week. I usually do it in my room lying in bed and talking to him or before going to sleep, i can express myself more than going to church. There are lots of distractions around unlike when you are alone.

It states in the Bible, that the Lord would rather you be in a closet to pray, not just to pray for someone to see you pray. I guess that I have a habit of talking to the Lord, on the most part, praying is different for each individual. I talk to the Lord as if He is by my side, visible to each and everyone that can see me. I talk to Him while I am driving, cooking, cleaning, etc. The Lord is with each and everyone of us, no matter where we are or what we are doing.

Yes, you are true with that and it is more likely to do the same way. Coz hypocrites always get impression on others on what they do... i mean, they are happy to know the they were seen by others prayin in public. It's really a good thing that we have sincerity in prayer as its our resort of or communication to Him. thank you so much for droppin in.

Hmm.. well I'm not a good catholic but I make sure that I think about the Lord and pray when i have something to say. I usually ran out for words if i pray and during these situations, i usually pray the Lord's prayer for the sake of praying...
