I am a young mother of 5 kids and I know it sounds kinda silly that I would want to write a living will. But the thing is you never really know what can happen and when. So here's my question where do I start? I really have no idea where to go from here. I just want to know all of my kids will be taken care of properly. I heard that you need to get a lawyer to help you is this true? If anyone can offer any kind of advice. I would really appreciate it. And thank you in advance.

My husband and I have a living will because it is required by the Army with him deployed and all but I am glad we got one. We gave full custody to my parents of all 3 of our kids. We also have a life insurance so that way if something happens to them they get so much money per month to care for them and give them what they want. Then when they turn 18 or when they are done with college they get 200,000 to split between the 3 of them. We did have to get a lawyer to make it legal and draw it up but we told him everything that we wanted to do. Think about it and make sure it is with someone you know you can trust and you know will raise your kids how you want them to be raised. My parents are very open and raised me very well and my husband really likes how well my parents like to take care of their grandkids even when they don't have to and that is why we picked them.

It is better to have a lawyer involved but it's not necessary. If you have friends or relatives that you can trust, have them be your witnesses.....my father wrote the same and instead of paying the money for a lawyer,he used witnesses and when he passed, the will stood in court.....hope this helps

I got a very nicely written legal will on-line from a law firm owned by one of O.J.'s "dream team" lawyers. The whole thing completed with every detail I wanted only cost me $69.00 total. It was from legalzoom.com. I had it notorized, witnessed and it is now in my safety deposit box.
