Do you think that "Lost" would have more seasons? How many? Or do you think that 5 seasons is great?

I think Lost is going to run until 2010. It was released a couple weeks ago. They are not going to have a long season though. It will be about 16 or so shows each, normally it is around 20 or so, season from here on out and they will be back to back.

Actually not being a Buddhist, I think the Black smoke monster is a demon who can take the form of anyone or anything and cause havoc. I think a lot of people have watched too much Kung Fu and have the mistaken belief that everything Buddhist is good. One of my sons thinks it has something to do with nano technology, but he has a very scientific mind and my husband thinks it is a mechanical monster, but that does not make sense. And there are those who believe it is a form of mass hypnosis, but that would mean everyone on the Island is easily controlled. It could also be that the Island is on a different timeline or dimension, that the original people cannot be seen because they move too fast and that would account for the bad pregnancies - the babies are developing too fast or the reverse. Anyway when the people on the Yahoo group I belong to thought of the word Dharma, they thought good people without actually examining if they were or not. I suppose if the name of the group had been God's Children or something like that they would have thought Cult.

I would hope for six seasons. That would be about right. You cannot just have four or five because of all the questions that have to be answered, not to mention rescue, if they are on another dimension, etc.

It was announced last week that the end of the show will occur in 2010. Between now and then they are planning to answer many of the questions that have been raised. I am glad that we will not be left hanging in 3 years.

They've also said that you don't have to watch the rest of the 3 seasons to get all the answers. I get the feeling we'll find out sooner then later what we really want to know.

I think that it should only have 2. More then two is just pushing the story line and adding more filler to the story. The show was probably made for just one season but due to its popularity it get some extra seasons to get more cash.

It's like only two. It's 16 eps for three seasons instead of 24 eps for two. It's still a total of 48 more eps after Wed. regardless of how it's packaged. The idea is that it takes so long to produce an ep that they'll be able to do a better job by focusing on 16 a season instead of 22-24. As it is, the last two seasons [I don't know about this one], they'd start the season with a number of episodes complete and be RUSHING to finish the finale - as in still working on it the day before or day of kind of thing. IIRC, it's a total of about 10 days per ep [with two crews working some days - counts as 2].

I'm cool with the six seasons. The show is not just about the faith people have in the island but a test of our faith in the creators that they will answer our questions and not leave us hanging. Knowing that the show has a finite time limit, pushes the writes to start answering questions and will hopefully reduce the number of filler shows we get (no more Nikki and Paulo crap).
