Ireland has beaten Pakistan in World Cup Cricket. Should Ireland provided more ODI games against test nations so that they improve and be more competitive? Should the cricket played by more countries?

Yes, they should be allowed to play more matches with test playing nations and most importantly India should be degrated to associate status like they do in english premier league and let india play against the associate team first and then try and get the test status later!!

I also agree with you guys that more matches should be played by the associate team. It is a very good idea for the associate team to play one or two games just before with the test team every major games among the test teams. Like India and Westindies playing associate teams of Europe before England tour or between the England tour.

no i dont think so...they must play among themselves first and win consistently there then play against test nations..ireland beating pakistan is just a fluke...and wont be repeated again in the near future...

Not only Ireland but also other associate teams should be given chance to play more international cricket so that the game itself can be boosted and people in those country get excited and take more part in it ,that will really help the sport in those countries and i do think every test nation should play 3 one day international series once a year against one top associate cricket nation in their homeland so that they get more experience and the people will know about cricket in those countries aswell.

Yes they should play more against test nations. It is a good chance for these teams to gauge and to learn new tricks from the big boys. I'm glad Ireland managed to reduce the gap between test nations and non test nations. In my view, tri-series should include one associate cricket team, as this will give a boost to the cricket development.
