I like cooking and therefore I like buying books about it. I often print out the recipes I found via the net and collect them. I've collected various recipes:) I like cooking and meanwhile I like eating.

since you love dessert here are some recipes for dessert from allrecipes.com Frozen Latte Dessert SUBMITTED BY: Dannielle Lalonde "I received this dessert recipe from a friend when I asked her what to make for a baby shower. It was very easy to make and was first to be gobbled up at the shower." INGREDIENTS * 2 cups heavy cream * 1 tablespoon instant coffee granules * 1/2 cup chocolate syrup * 1/2 cup butter, chilled * 1 cup all-purpose flour * 1/2 cup chopped mixed nuts DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. Combine cream, instant coffee and chocolate syrup in a large bowl and place in refrigerator. 3. In a mixing bowl, cut butter into flour until mixture resembles large crumbs. Stir in nuts and press into a 9x9 inch baking dish. 4. Bake in preheated oven 15 minutes, until lightly browned. Let cool completely. 5. Beat chilled cream mixture with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form. Spread over cooled crust, cover and freeze 4 hours, until firm. ------------------------------------- Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert SUBMITTED BY: Connie West PHOTO BY: Allrecipes "This is an incredibly easy rich and satisfying ice cream dessert made with ice cream sandwiches and fudge sauce. This keeps in the freezer very well and can be eaten straight from the freezer." INGREDIENTS * 1 (16 ounce) can chocolate syrup * 3/4 cup peanut butter * 19 ice cream sandwiches * 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed * 1 cup salted peanuts DIRECTIONS 1. Pour the chocolate syrup into a medium microwave safe bowl and microwave 2 minutes on high. Do not allow to boil. Stir peanut butter into hot chocolate until smooth. Allow to cool to room temperature. 2. Line the bottom of a 9x13 inch dish with a layer of ice cream sandwiches. Spread half the whipped topping over the sandwiches. Spoon half the chocolate mixture over that. Top with half the peanuts. Repeat layers. Freeze until firm, 1 hour. Cut into squares to serve. -------------------------------------- Caramel-Glazed Flan SUBMITTED BY: Mogirimi PHOTO BY: Allegra "This is a reduced-fat version of this delicious Spanish origin dessert. I made it this way and my family did not notice the difference with the original fatty version. Good point!" INGREDIENTS * 3/4 cup white sugar * 2 egg yolks * 6 egg whites * 1 3/4 cups water * 1 (14 ounce) can low-fat sweetened condensed milk * 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract * 1 pinch salt DIRECTIONS 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). 2. In a heavy skillet over medium-low heat, cook and stir sugar until melted and light brown. Carefully pour into a 9-inch round baking dish, tilting the dish to coat the bottom completely. 3. In a medium bowl, beat egg yolks and egg whites. Stir in water, condensed milk, vanilla and salt until smooth. Pour into prepared dish. Line a roasting pan with a damp kitchen towel. Place baking dish on towel, inside roasting pan, and place roasting pan on oven rack. Fill roasting pan with boiling water to reach halfway up the sides of the baking dish. 4. Bake in preheated oven 1 hour, until center is just set (still a bit jiggly). Remove dish to a wire rack to cool for one hour. Then refrigerate several hours or overnight. 5. To unmold, run a knife around the edge of the pan and invert onto a rimmed serving platter.

CD Rom Cookbook-Over a Million Recipes - My son and husband bought me this cookbook on CD Rom.....I find it expecially easy to use...I just stick it in my laptop and carry it to the kitchen and the store....works perfectly!
My son and husband found me a CD Rom that has over a million recipes....I do not have a need to collect cookbooks anymore....many of my recipes have been handed down from my family for generations....... I have really enjoyed that CD though, because I always like to try new things...so we experiment sometimes...I have learned to cook some great meals from this CD Rom. I find this cookbook to be perfectly convenient because I can stick it in my laptop and carry it to the kitchen and the store..works perfectly!
