I have this uncle who is already 75 years old, still working in his own machine shop business, and is strong as a bull. Every year, he makes it a point to donate blood. This he says, is one way to make him fit and healthy. Just like the Egyptians in the old days, donating blood or bloodletting is a form of rejuvenating the body, where old blood circulating in the body wll be flushed out, he said. I dunno how true is his idea about this, but the fact remains that he is physically fit. Even his sense of hearing and sight is quite remarkable for his age. What is your idea about bloodletting or donating blood as a form of healthy practice for the body?
