The father of a middle school student in Spring Tx is mad because a teacher's aide made a comment about Martin Luther King saying he was a womanizer. The father is mad because this was said during math class and he also did not think it was appropriate to discuss this in middle school at all. How would you respond?

I totally agree that this was a totally inappropriate comment. First of all, what does it have to do with math. Second, why would that kind of subject come up for middle school children anyway. I know that Texas is a state known for being prejudice, but I don't see why someone would want to mention that.

It does make one wonder why and how this subject was initiated.

I would want to talk to the teacher's aide to have them explain to me why they would talk about this to middle school students.
