Polymerized caster oil

July 28, 2006 3:57am CST
Caster oil heated to 300oF for several hrs. polymerizes to a pale amber colour transperant mass. As such can this be used in a container candle as a fuel in lieu of container candle gell which is an off shoot of mineral oil. If so ,then is it possible to further harden with the aid of Methylmethacrylate or vinyl acetate co-polymer. So that clear transperant solid mass at room temperature can be moulded at a Pillar type standing candle.
